Day 01: Milan Arrival | Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Milan airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Just outside this area meet your driver who will transfer you to your Hotel in central Milan. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Milan.
Day 02: Milan | After breakfast at the Hotel, meet your driver in the lobby for a morning Private Guided Tour of Milan. Visit Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece, The Last Supper. Stop by the alluring Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery. Visit the medieval Sforza Castle. Next, tour the splendid Duomo and the fabulous La Scala Opera House. Lunch at leisure. Day 03: Swiss Alps Bernina Express Rail Tour from Milan | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby to be transferred to your Group Tour meeting point. Today experience the Bernina Express, the iconic red Swiss mountain train, for an Alps tour with a difference. Travel from Milan to Switzerland in the morning, and relax on your coach journey to Tirano. After some free time in the town, board the Bernina Express and gaze out of your window as the historic train passes through the idyllic stretches of Northern Italy and the Swiss Alps. Ride over the spiral viaduct of Brusio, and along the Bernina Pass to Engadin. After 2.5 hours on board, watch the scenery change from windswept gorges and snow-clad glaciers to the chic chalets of St Moritz. Hop off the train to enjoy roughly 1.5 hours of free time in the town. An elegant vacation spot thatâ€™s popular for winter sports, St Moritz has a bounty of attractions to keep you busy. Stroll the lake, ogle the snow-specked mountains that ring the town, enjoy lunch or browse the local chocolatiers to sample Swiss chocolate. All food is at your own expense. Day 04: Milan Stresa and Borromean Islands Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning meet your driver at the hotel lobby to be transferred to your hotel in Stresa on Lake Maggiore. After a short stop at the Hotel meet your Private Guide. Your tour starts in Stresa and then continues on to The Borromean Islands. Stresa is an exclusive place with its beautiful lakeside setting in front of Isola Bella. After a guided stroll in Stresa, you will enjoy a boat ride in the Borromeo Gulf for a visit to the beautiful Isola Bella (Beautiful Island). A tiny village, still preserving its original charm, will welcome us on the Island. However, it's a striking baroque building known as "The Borromeo Palace" that will soon capture your attention once you are on Isola Bella. You will be guided through its 17th-century rooms including the Grottoes before enjoying a pleasant stroll in the fabulous Italian gardens built on 10 terraces that make Isola Bella a unique and unbelievable place in the world! In the afternoon continue on to Isola Madre the atmosphere is more authentic, learning about how the Borromeo family created such a luxuriant English-style botanical garden; in the villa, you will admire a collection of marionettes. Day 05: Lake Maggiore Car at disposal with English speaking driver| Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Driver at the hotel lobby. We suggest the town of Ascona and Locarno, located in Southern Switzerland and part of the canton of Ticino. They are situated on a river delta formed by the River Maggia before flowing into Lake Maggiore. Sheltered by the mountains of the Alps, Ascona and Locarno enjoy an exceptional climate in which hydrangeas, magnolias and camellias blossom as early as in March. Visitors will find plenty of opportunities for pleasant walks among gardens, along the shores of the lake and on the vine-covered slopes above the lake in friendly little villages such as Orselina. Ascona lies in a spectacularly sunny bay on Lake Maggiore. It is one of the most exclusive tourist destinations in Switzerland and boasts a beautiful lake promenade, boutiques, a welcoming Lido (public swimming pool), restaurants and magnificent walks in the surroundings. The Old Town of Ascona was built around the 16th century church of Pietro e Paolo and exerts a special fascination: an intricate web of lanes containing every kind of shop leads to the piazza, which lies directly on the lake. The panorama opens out over the lake where you will find cafes and restaurants in the sunshine. The focus of Locarno is the famous Piazza Grande, a busy square surrounded by charming old houses and just off the palm-lined lakefront. The Piazza Grande is frequented by locals, who enjoy coming here for a stroll, as well as by tourists, attracted by the shopping arcades, cafes and restaurants. And especially on summer weekends, when the sunny terraces overflow with people. The most important sight in Locarno is the Santuario della Madonna del Sasso, on a wooden crag above the resort in Orselina. Other sights include Castello Visconteo, a Municipal and Archeological Museum which is devoted to the region. Chiesa San Francesco - consecrated in 1230 by Umberto di Monserrato, the Bishop of Como, is the church attached to a former Franciscan convent that was extensively restored in the 16th century. Arcades laid out on three levels surround the beautiful courtyard at the Casa Rusca in Piazza Sant'Antonio. Late afternoon return to Stresa. Overnight in Stresa.
Day 06: Stresa Lake Orta Cheese & Wine Tasting Lake Como | After breakfast at the Hotel, meet your driver in the lobby. Today you will leave Lake Maggiore to spend 2 nights on Lake Como. On route to your Hotel on Lake Como you will spend the day on a Private Guided Tour of Lake Orta with a lovely afternoon Cheese and Wine Tasting in Arona on Lake Maggiore. Your tour will include an English-speaking professional guide at you disposal for the visit to the ancient village of Orta and a boat ride to discover the island of San Giulio. Your tour will start in the ancient village of Orta San Giulio which lies on charming Lake Orta, a true gem at a short distance from well-known Lake Maggiore. - Your driver and Guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bellagio and drive you to Como historic city center, where you will visit its architectural wonders to include the Duomo, the Broletto, the Temple of Volta, and Terragni Palace. You can make an optional visit to the Educational Silk Museum, featuring machines, objects, documents and instruments from Como textile industry, which earned the town its nickname City of Silk.
- Your private tour then takes you to Bellagio, one of the Italy's most breathtaking towns. After lunch in a characteristic local restaurant, enjoy a guided walking tour in the historical center.
