The name Sirenusas is because in the Greek mythology the Sirens symbolized the dangers that awaited the seafarers. And according to the legends, in ancient times they really lived on these islands. The most famous of the sirens were Parthenope, Leucosia, and Ligeia, one of them sang, the other played the lyre, the third the flute. Enjoy a walking tour of Pompeii that will include: visits to the interiors of the homes of Pompeii's wealthier citizens, Ancient streets where locals dined and where you'll learn about traditional Roman cuisine, the Amphitheatre where we'll talk of the Gladiators and the events staged in the arena. As well as enjoying numerous anecdotes about life in Pompeii that will include some of the Graffiti dating back to Roman times that are still visible throughout the ruins. Continue with a visit to the Ancient Forum, Pompeii's centre for religious, civil and economic life where you will walk through the ancient Macellum which was a covered food market that occupied a corner of the forum. Of the three different areas, the central section was intended for use by the imperial house, those to the sides for the sale of meat, whilst an area in the middle was for the cleaning and sale of fish. One of the most interesting aspects of Pompeii is its pictorial decoration. You will also visit the Casa Dei Vettii to see the splendid frescoes, statues and decorations from ancient times. After Pompeii travel about 20 minutes around the Gulf of Naples to reach the top of Mount Vesuvius for a panoramic view. Stop for lunch at the most important winemaker of Lachrima Christi. Here you will have a classical Italian lunch that includes bruschette with fresh tomatoes and olive oil served with salami and cheeses. Then, spaghetti will be served with little hill cherry tomatoes, accompanied by two different red wines. After lunch continue to Ancient Herculaneum. Dating back to the 4th century BC, the city was thought to have been founded by the legendary Hercules. This elite Roman resort was devastated by the same volcanic eruption that buried Pompeii in 79 AD. Herculaneum was covered by a torrent of mud, which protected the ruins from atmospheric agents and illegal excavators. You will visit the suburban Baths, the house of the Deers, the Augustales temple, the Palestra, the house of Neptune and Amphitrite, the Pretty Courtyard House, the Wooden Partition Wall House, the Bicentenary House, the area of the Marina, where in 1980 archeologist found over 250 skeletons of fugitives. For centuries, the little villages have stayed quiet and almost immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere. It was only in the early 50’s that more and more families discovered the hospitality of those genuine local people that for generations had just dedicated their time to fishing and to the cultivation of a very wild landscape, creating the most impressive scenery of artificial terraces. oday travel along one of the most intriguing coastline in the world, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello... Then let us take you up to Villa Rufolo in Ravello, with spectacular view over the entire Amalfi Coast.  Late afternoon continue to your Hotel in Amalfi. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 06: Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the Hotel lobby and transfer to Amalfi pier where you will embark on a Private Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast. You will visit Conca dei Marini, a village that has impeccably preserved the old charm of a fishing village, with white houses tucked into the rock, like precious stones in a sculpted setting. The main draw of Conca dei Marini is the Grotta dello Smeraldo, a marvelous karst cavity, one of the most famous in the world! After passing the Cape of Conca, there is a beautiful bay where boats often stop for swimmers and divers to take advantage of the clarity of its waters and the shallow depth of its seabed. Behind the cliff, almost vertically, in an area called O’Runghetiello, there are two little-known beaches that are neither visible nor accessible from the ground, and do not attract attention from the sea. Very close to the first beach, the second beach Runghetiello is much larger and you always find some visitors coming with a small boat or canoe. A uniform background of small pebbles and very clear water, easy to invite you to relax on this beach. On the right, you can reach small semi-submerged caves. Next is the Fiordo di Furore: Take a swim in the waters of this fjord, which is accessed via sea. The fjord, given the limited penetration of the sun, gives a great sense of coolness. Continue to Praiano: It has a long reputation as a hospitable and fashionable resort, having been the favored summer residence of the powerful Doges of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi. Nowadays, it attracts visitors from around the world, drawn to its crystal-clear waters that are awarded the Bandiera Blu (Blue Flag) for cleanliness, and the encompassing views. The ambiance here is friendly and laid-back. Praiano has the feel of a village while offering the cafes, shops and restaurants of a resort. Lunch in a local characteristic restaurant along the Coast. Next is Positano, the pearl of The Amalfi Coast. Dramatic, deluxe and more than a little dashing, Positano is the Amalfi Coast's front-cover splash with vertiginous houses tumbling down to the sea in a cascade of sun-bleached peach, pink and terracotta. You already have visited the town, you might want to disembark just to enjoy a walk along the beach. Ideal picture postcard material, Positano's main beach is one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan of all those on the Amalfi Coast. Along the large, three-hundred-meter-long beach, which lies almost directly opposite the archipelago of Li Galli. It is easy to see why the beach has become the focus of the town's social life, where the locals come to mingle with the world's celebrities and tourists. In the proximity, there are few beaches that might be of interest to you such as Laurito Beach: A tiny little beach, its name derives from the many laurels growing in the area, or The Arienzo Beach: Facing the south west, the beach enjoys the sun longer than any other in Positano. The beach is divided into private and free areas. Late afternoon return to the Amalfi Pier to be transferred to your Hotel in Amalfi. Overnight in Amalfi.

After an initial pass-through, you'll begin to see stylistic differences and be able to spot individual artists, each characterized by a proprietary pattern and color palette. Palazzo della Ceramica Solimene was opened in the 40s. The magnificent building by the architect Paolo Soleri recalls in its structure, the Guggenheim Museum in New York: an imposing structure with towers leaning against the mountains, with interior spaces dominated by exposed beams. Lunch will be scheduled in a characteristic local Restaurant. Early afternoon return to your Hotel in Amalfi. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Amalfi.

One of the stalactites is said to resemble the Virgin Mary in prayer. The grotto consists of an upper and lower cave, although the upper is not easily accessible. The lower cave is about 24 feet at its tallest and is wider above the water (about six feet) than it is at the surface. The Green Grotto: The green light that reflects on the rocks inside of the cave, creating a beautiful visual effect for visitors to the cave. The cave has two openings, the smallest of which lets in the sunlight. It is also possible to swim through the grotto from one side to the other. L’arco Naturale and the Grotta Meravigliosa: The Natural Arch is a rock formation of Paleolithic age 12 meters wide and almost 20 meters high, which, due to the atmospheric agents and geological processes that have affected the island in the past, has acquired a curious arched shape. The view enjoyed from the sea is just stunning. Your Capri Private Boat Tour ends at Capri’s Marina Grande. Here you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. Visit Mount Solaro, the ride to the summit takes only 13 minutes and each chair holds just a single rider. The Aragonese castle was built by Geron of Syracuse and was transformed into a fortress during the Angevin domination when it was closed by massive walls. Later, Alfonso of Aragon built the bridge that still connects the small island to the main island. The hill garden features Mediterranean vegetation and architectural elements that reflect the history and archaeology of Ischia. It is dominated by the Greek Theater, an auditorium that was carved out of the slope of the mountain with a stage overlooking the Bay of Forio. The valley garden is home to a wide variety of trees and flowers, including ginkgo biloba trees, magnolias, hydrangeas, tree ferns, geraniums, Brahea palms, yucca, aloe and water lilies. • Thank you for coordinating such a wonderful trip in Italy. Terence and I learned many things about Italy. The weather was great and we had so much fun. All hotels, staff and guides were superb! We especially appreciated our driver who served us from Venice through our time in Florence, I believe his name was Lorenzo. Again, thank “you” for doing such a great job in planning our vacation.

  • Hope, you are doing well. My wife and I had a great trip to Italy. The place, the people, and the food and wine were out of this world. Warm and kind people including hotel staff, tour guides and drivers went beyond their ways to help us and make this visit very special for us. It was very hard to leave Italy. You, your staff and company did an extraordinary job. You over delivered. Bravo!

  • We have just returned from our trip to Italy since we took a cruise after the program you and I put together. I just wanted to let you know that everything you planned worked out perfectly. Both hotels were excellent and the rooms were fine. All the drivers were on time and got us to our destinations promptly. We were especially glad to have someone meet us at the train station with the tickets in hand and directions to our car in Milan. The best part of the trip was the all day private boat trip in Bellagio with the great restaurant on the private island. So thanks for your help and hopefully we can do it again.
