Living The Italian Dream Grand Tour | 23 Nights/24 Days

Day 01: Venice Arrival | On your arrival at Venice Airport, our local English speaking representative will be waiting to welcome you to Venice. You will be transferred by private limo and then by private motorboat to your hotel in central Venice. The rest of the day is at leisure. For overseas Flight arrivals, we suggest an early dinner with good night sleep. Overnight in Venice.

Day 02: Venice, Murano, and Burano Private Guided Tour | This morning after breakfast meet in your Personal Guide at the Hotel lobby for a 4-hour enchanting Venice Walking Guided Tour. You will first admire all the landmarks of the famous Piazza San Marco, St. Mark’s Square, the former political center of the Venetian Republic. You will enter St. Mark’s Church with its breathtaking glittering mosaics. Then you enter the Gothic Doge’s Palace, once the seat of the government, where the Doge, the ‘leader’ lived and together with his advisors and politicians decided the fate of Europe in the 15th and 16th C. Your tour will continue first to Santa Maria Formosa: History and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square, then to Campo St. Giovanni e PaoloThe “Pantheon” of Venice, the great School of Charity. Admire Marco Polo House and Malibran Theatre: Anecdotes, past, and recent history cross each other in this beautiful corner of Venice. Return to San Marco through the mercerie, vital connection between Rialto and San Marco and the main street for the city shopping. At the end of the tour embark on a quintessential Venetian experience with a private gondola ride through the famed canals of Venice. Glide past ancient palazzos and magnificent cathedrals on a traditionally handcrafted gondola. Lunch at leisure (Not included). In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion into the Venetian lagoon. You will start by visiting the island of Burano, one of the most picturesque of the Venetian lagoon. Picturesque Burano is known for it's brightly colored fishermen's houses and its casual eateries serving seafood from the lagoon. After a pleasant stroll around the Island of Burano, you will make your way to Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, thanks to the world-known "Murano Glass", produced here. The people of Venice have been making crystal and glass since the 10th Century when the Venetian merchants brought back the secrets of production from the East. You will visit a selected glass-factory. You'll see a demonstration of glassblowing as well as visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware that exemplifies the high quality of glass produced on the Island. Overnight in Venice.

Day 03: Day at Leisure  | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today spend the day at leisure on Lake Como.  Overnight in Venice.

Day 04: Transfer from Venice to Lake Como via Milan | Breakfast at the Hotel. Private Transfer by boat and meet your Driver at Piazzale Roma. Today, travel through the Veneto and Lombardy countryside, On route to your Hotel on Lake Como, stop in Milan. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon enjoy a Milan Private Guided Tour. Together with your Private Guide, visit Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. Stop by the alluring Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery. Visit the medieval Sforza Castle. Next, tour the splendid Duomo and the fabulous La Scala Opera House. Late afternoon, continue to your Lake Como Hotel. Overnight on Lake Como.

Day 05: Lake Como Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and Guide at your hotel lobby. This morning enjoy a 6 Hours Lake Como Private Boat Tour. The tour includes a visit to one of the most beautiful properties in the Italian Lake District, Villa Balbianello. The splendid Villa del Balbianello rises on a breathtaking sheer promontory above Lake Como. The loggia affords a beautiful view of the lake. The true pride and joy of the Villa is the panoramic terraced garden, which is dominated by the elegant loggia. Beside Villa Balbaniello along the coast there are luxury hotels, some with swimming pools that float in the lake and Mediterranean villas with formal gardens, some open to the public, dot the shore. Day 06: Lake Maggiore Private Guided Tour| Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning meet your local guide for a Full Day private tour of Lake Maggiore. The Tour starts in Stresa and then continues on to The Borromean Islands. The famous town of Stresa (Italy, 5000 inhabitants, 200 m above sea level) enjoys a splendid location on Lake Maggiore in the Gulf of Borromeo, where it overlooks the eponymous islands, the main attraction in the region. Its beautiful countryside, architectural gems, and mild climate combine to make Stresa one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy. The Borromean Islands: Isola Madre and Isola Bella with their stunning palaces and ornamental gardens are a must-see destination for aesthetes. Luxury villas and opulent Art Nouveau hotels line the elegant lakeside, which is ideal for a tranquil stroll. Day 07: Day at Leisure  | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today spend the day at leisure on Lake Como.  Overnight on Lake Como.

Day 08: Transfer from Lake Como to Cinque Terre | After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver in the lobby for a Private Transfer to your hotel in Cinque Terre. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Cinque Terre.

Day 09: Cinque Terre Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Private Guide at the Hotel Lobby for a Private Tour of The Cinque Terre (5 Lands), featuring some of the Mediterranean's most picturesque seaside villages. A combination of easy walks, village visits, train rides and a short boat trip between the atmospheric villages makes this the ideal visit to the Cinque Terre. Lunch in a characteristic Liguria restaurant. Your private Guide will share great stories about each charming village, as The Cinque Terre is a string of five fishing villages perched high on the Italian Riviera, which until recently were linked only by mule tracks and accessible only by rail or water. An ancient system of footpaths is still the best way to visit the five villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in Cinque Terre.

Day 10: Portofino, San Fruttuoso and Rapallo | After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver and private guide in the lobby for a Private Tour of Rapallo, Portofino, and San Fruttuoso. First visit Rapallo which offers a short promenade flanked by a small medieval castle, used now mainly for exhibitions. Behind the front is a group of interesting old streets laid out on a sort of grid pattern. Rapallo was a Roman settlement. West of the town center, the other side of the river, stands a small bridge: This is the Ponte di Annibale, plainly very ancient. At the back of the town, in the other direction, is the bottom station of a cable-car that goes up to the Sanctuary of Montallegro. Apart from a visit to the church itself, the top gives access to big views over the coast and some walks. One of the most popular resort towns on the Italian Riviera, little Portofino has just over 500 permanent residents. Lunch in a characteristic local restaurant. But that all changes on summer days when the sun is shining and the yachting set drops anchor in the harbor to wander about. Boutiques, art galleries, cafes, and restaurants line the tiny streets. Visit the Church of San Giorgio and take a stroll down to the lighthouse. A ferry trip to San Fruttuoso is included in the tour. This small fishing village located in a bay at the foot of Mount Portofino can be reached only by boat or on foot, following the trails in Portofino Park. The site is dominated by the Abbey of San Fruttuoso, a splendid 8th-century monument. Near the abbey, you’ll find a church, a tower, a few cottages, and a small beach. Enjoy a swim or some sunbathing. An underwater statue of Christ, known as the Christ of the Depths, stands at the bottom of the bay. In the late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in SML.

Day 11: Cinque Terre At Leisure | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today spend time at leisure in Cinque Terre. *Optional Tour: The Gulf of Poets is a dramatically beautiful area full of little villages, gorgeous colors and steep cliffs that disappear into the blue waters below. Also known as the Gulf of La Spezia this area of the Italian Riviera begins at the Magra River and finishes at the town of Portovenere. The Bay--so called because it was a favorite of writers like Shelley, Byron, Petrarca and Montale--also includes the picturesque villages of Lerici, Sarzana, Tellaro, San Terenzo, Montemarcello, the city of La Spezia, and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. Overnight in Cinque Terre.

Day 12: Cinque Terre - Pisa & Lucca Private Tour - Florence | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the Hotel Lobby to private transfer to your Florence Hotel. On route visit Pisa and Lucca, undoubtedly among the richest cities in the world for architecture and history: they are mandatory destinations for those who want to go deep inside Tuscany and its artistic background. Once in Pisa,  meet your Private Guide: the tour starts in the incredible Piazza dei Miracoli: here you can admire the baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower, together with a guided visit in the majestic Cathedral. Lunch/Food and Wine Tour in a Characteristic Local Wine Estate before departing for Lucca. In Lucca, famous for its still intact walls, your Tour Guide will lead you to the enchanting old town center walking along a section of the walls and enjoying a breathtaking view over the rooftops. Visit or pass by Anfiteatro Square, Guinigi Tower, San Martino Cathedral and stroll along the picturesque streets of antique shops. Late afternoon, continue to Florence. Overnight in Florence.

Day 13: Florence Private Guided Art and Food Tour: Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide at the hotel lobby a full day Florence Private Guided Tour. Your morning tour will start with a Private Guided Tour of the Accademia Gallery, home to Florence's most treasured work of art - "Michelangelo's David". After enjoying a discussion of David, you'll also admire "Michelangelo's Slaves": A series of breath-taking sculptures of original captives of the stone. Together with your personal guide visit the elegant fashion district of Florence, where you will experience a heavenly mouthwatering truffle sandwich: you won’t find anything like that in the world. Your Private Food Tour continues with a visit to a local wine shop where you will taste olive oils and two different wines. No food visit to Florence would be complete without an authentic “piatto di pasta”, local “crostini” accompanied by a glass of wine, an Italian pastry, and coffee, which is made with a blend of carefully selected coffee beans, roasted in the Italian old-style. Then head into Florence Old Town to first visit Piazza della Signoria. See the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and then continue to Florence's most famous landmark, Ponte Vecchio. Continue by enjoying the less beaten tracks. This is the right tour to see some of the most hidden areas of Florence and discover its traditions, its people, it's most authentic made in Italy products out of the usual tourist paths. Visit a Florentine mosaic workshop where you will learn about this old traditional Florence handicraft. Continue to the Scuola del Cuoio, located inside the monastery of Santa Croce. The Church of Santa Croce is one of Florence’s most beautiful basilicas and the largest Franciscan church in the world. A community of Franciscan friars still lives there. Santa Croce is also the burial place of some of the most illustrious Italians, Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, to name a few. By going through a door located on the left side of the church, you will soon get to the former dormitory of the monastery, a large vaulted hall designed by Michelozzo, one of Florence’s major Renaissance architects. This hall now houses the famous “School of Leather”, the Scuola del Cuoio, founded after World War II by the friars and two leather craftsmen. Late afternoon, continue to your Hotel in Florence.

Day 14: Pisa and Lucca Private Tour | This morning after breakfast meet your Driver and Personal Guide at the Hotel lobby. Once in Pisa, the tour starts in the incredible Piazza dei Miracoli: here you can admire the baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower, together with a guided visit in the majestic Cathedral. Lunch/Food and Wine Tour in a Characteristic Local Wine Estate before departing for Lucca. In Lucca, famous for its still intact walls, your Tour Guide will lead you to the enchanting old town center walking along a section of the walls and enjoying a breathtaking view over the rooftops. Day 15: San Gimignano and Siena Private Guided Tour | After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver and guide in the lobby. You will visit San Gimignano, a fantastic example of medieval architecture declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, famous for its medieval skyscrapers. These tower houses were built by local families at the height of the Guelph-Ghibelline conflict. Stop in a Wine Estate where you will enjoy a Lunch/Food a Wine Tasting. Then continue on to Siena, Italy's loveliest medieval city. Enjoy a private guided visit of the old city center; walk along the narrow medieval streets, you will admire the splendid Cathedral, the Libreria Piccolomini and Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio horse race is held twice a year, overlooked by the Palazzo del Comune. Free time to stroll around, before returning to your hotel in Florence. Overnight in Florence.

Day 16: Florence - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento |Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will be privately transferred to Florence train station where you will meet your Assistant and porter who will facilitate your boarding a fast train in for Naples. Upon your arrival at Naples Train Station, meet our local English-Speaking representative who will assist you with Porterage Services and facilitate your private transfer to your Hotel in Sorrento. On route stop first at Cantine del Vesuvio, for a fantastic Eno-Gastronomic experience. The Estate is the most important winemaker of Lachrima Christi, located just a few hundred meters below the peak of the Volcano Vesuvius. Here you will have a classical Italian lunch that includes bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and olive oil served with salami and cheeses. Then, spaghetti will be served with little hill cherry tomatoes, accompanied by two different red wines. After lunch, continue to Pompeii, meet your Private Guide and enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Pompeii Archeological Ruins. Pompeii was buried under lava and ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. Enjoy a walking tour of Pompeii that will include: visits to the interiors of the homes of Pompeii's wealthier citizens, Ancient streets where locals dined and where you'll learn about traditional Roman cuisine, the amphitheater where we'll talk of the Gladiators and the events staged in the arena. As well as enjoying numerous anecdotes about life in Pompeii that will include some of the Graffiti dating back to Roman times that are still visible throughout the ruins. Continue with a visit to the Ancient Forum, Pompeii's center for religious, civil and economic life (the major public offices were located here) where we'll walk through the ancient Macellum which was a covered food market that occupied a corner of the forum. Of the three different areas, the central section was intended for use by the imperial house, those to the sides for the sale of meat, whilst an area in the middle was for the cleaning and sale of fish. One of the most interesting aspects of Pompeii is its pictorial decoration. After the Tour, continue to your Hotel in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 17: Capri Private Guided Tour with Limoncello & Blue Grotto Tour | This morning you will be privately transferred to Sorrento Marina Piccola to meet your guide and to board a fast ferry to Capri. First visit Marina Grande with his classy restaurants and sidewalk cafés. Then to Anacapri, 1,800 feet above sea level, where you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. Continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. After lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, you will visit, weather permitting, the incredible Blue Grotto. Capri is a very exclusive travel destination, it is here to spot the occasional unassuming celebrity (Paparazzi as well, unfortunately). Late afternoon you will re-board the fast ferry to Sorrento. Have a lovely evening and night in Sorrento.

Day 18: Amalfi Coast Private Guided Tour | Today travel along one of the most intriguing coastlines in the world, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello... The small houses along the mountain on top of each other, the breathtaking cliffs, the lemon and olive trees, the small bays, the Saracen watchtowers, the narrow tiny street make this place unique in the world. First, you will visit Positano, an exclusive little village famous for its latest fashion trends and exclusive nightlife. Continue on to Amalfi, once the powerful Maritime Republic and today a refined travel resort. Enjoy lunch in a characteristic Amalfi Coast fish restaurant. Then let us take you up to Villa Rufolo in Ravello, with a spectacular view over the entire Amalfi Coast. Return to Sorrento for an overnight.

Day 19: Sorrento at Leisure. For 2000 years visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets, fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 20: Sorrento - Rome   | After Breakfast, you will meet your driver at the hotel lobby. Enjoy a Private transfer from your Sorrento Hotel to your hotel in Central Rome. Check-in at the Hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 21: Private Guided Vatican Tour | In the morning meet your driver at the hotel lobby. Transfer to the Vatican to meet your Private Guide for a 4 hours Vatican Private Guided tour. First Visit Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Raphael Rooms. Here we will spend plenty of time to absorb the atmosphere of this unique building. You will learn about the life and times of Michelangelo at the Vatican, his relationship with Pope Julius II and relive how he worked and lived. You will then move onto visit Saint Peter’s Basilica – the world’s most famous and largest Catholic Church. The final part of the tour will focus on Saint Peter’s Square; here you will have time to admire Michelangelo’s Dome and Bernini’s colonnades. Late morning return you to the hotel. Overnight in Rome.

Day 22: Private Guided Ancient Rome Tour | After breakfast meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby. Morning Private tour of the wonders of the Ancient Romans. You will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the Roman legions as you visit, together with your private local guide. This tour begins with a visit to the most famous monument of Ancient Rome - the Colosseum. From here, your guide will take you through the Roman Forum, which was the center of politics as well as public life in Ancient Rome. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. *Afternoon Optional Tours available. Overnight in Rome.

Day 23: Day at Leisure  | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today spend the day at leisure on Lake Como.  Overnight in Venice.

Day 24: Rome Departure | At a time of your convenience enjoy a Private Transfer to Rome Airport. Unfortunately, it is time to say Arrivederci! Ciao!
