As soon as you land in Naples, you will be introduced to the spirit of South Italy and escorted to your hotel. This tour begins on day 2 where you get to see the volcanic town and archaeological sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius from up close.
Seeing the first century AD cities where the Roman Empire reigned is the most delicate part of this tour. Just like Herculaneum known for the legendary Hercules and Pompeii for the amazing battles with gladiators, you will be able to walk the same ground on which Roman kings used to walk and see the elite Roman resorts like the Suburban Baths, the House of the Deers, many temples, houses and churches. You will even see the skeletons of many fugitives and people who used to live in that time.
From the medieval towns near Naples, the tour continues in the luxurious and chic Amalfi Coast which is a mix of culture and modern tourism. Here you will be enjoy a Private boat tour: We will help you to discover beauties such as; Cala Puolo, a small fishing village with traditional restaurants along the beach, Massa Lubrense a picturesque fishing village, Mitigliano Bay accessible only by sea, the Marine Park with views of Capri. Disembark in one of many little villages and enjoy a lunch in a characteristic local restaurant. You will have the opportunity to visit Positano, Amalfi and Ravello as well Capri Island, a summer playground for The Romans Emperors.
Travel along the Gulf of Salerno to reach Paestum Archeological Park. The Greek temples of Paestum are some of the most stunning ancient monuments in Italy. Still standing after 2500 years, they embody the Greek ideals of beauty, rationality, and the sacred. This day trip takes you along the Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Salerno to the low, often flower-filled plain looking out to the sea where the three temples stand. You will have time to explore the vast site consisting also of a Roman town with forum constructed on top of the original Greek settlement.
