Day 01: Rome Arrival | Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Rome airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Eternal City. In the evening, meeting at the hotel with tour host which will provide information regarding the program and destinations. Overnight in Rome.
Day 02: Vatican and Highlights of Rome Private Guided Rome | Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning transfer to Vatican Museum. Meet the Guide at Vatican and have tour of Museum and Sistine Chapel. The Vatican is one of the world’s greatest museums. Home of the Sistine Chapel and Raphael rooms, this Museum is undoubtedly one of the symbol of Western culture and a unique site to appreciate the genius of artists like Michelangelo, Raffaello, Bernini, Giotto and many others. Lunch at leisure. This afternoon enjoy a Private tour of Rome’s main sites. Visit Trevi Fountain: If you've seen La Dolce Vita by Fellini you'll recognize this spot easily. The fountain lies in a small piazza off Via del Tritone. Continue to Piazza Navona: Three beautiful fountains decorate the piazza out of which the most famous is the central Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi by Bernini. Then on to the Spanish Steps where The beautiful church of Trinita dei Monti lies at the top of the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs is the Fontana della Barcaccia also by Pietro Bernini. Late afternoon return you to the hotel. Overnight in Rome.
Day 03: Private Guided Ancient Rome and Underground Tour | After breakfast meet the driver at the hotel. This morning enjoy a Private tour of the wonders of the Ancient Romans. You will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the Roman legions as you visit, together with your private local guide, the Circus Maximus, site of Ben Hur style races, the Roman Forum, and the incomparable Colosseum (entrance fee included). Lunch at leisure. This afternoon enjoy an Underground Rome Private Guided Tour where you will discover the immense treasures that Rome hides underneath the surface. Buried under the ground is where a lot of Rome's history, architecture and art treasures are hidden and you visit will start at the Basilica of San Clemente, a unique lesson in Rome's many-layered history. It is many things together: the house of a Roman nobleman, a pagan temple, an ancient lower Basilica dating back to the 4th century and decorated with frescoes; and finally an upper-layer Basilica dating back to the 12th century filled with mosaics. One of the impressive spots of the ancient basilica is the so-called Mithraeum, an underground space devoted to the cult of the god Mithras. Late afternoon return you to the hotel. Overnight in Rome.
Day 04: Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will be privately transferred to your Hotel in Sorrento. On route enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Pompeii. Walk down the streets of the ancient city of Pompeii for a glimpse into the life of the Romans. Pompeii is one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, drawing travellers from across the world each year. Pompeii was buried under lava and ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. With its public baths, amphitheater, Roman temples and brothels, a tour of Pompeii is like a journey into the past. After the tour continue to your Sorrento Hotel. This evening take a 5 minutes stroll to reach Theatre Tasso to attend Sorrento Folk Show with Dinner. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 05: Capri Private Guided Tour with Limoncello & Blue Grotto Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Capri. Visit Marina Grande and the village of Anacapri, located 1,800 feet above sea level, where you can take a chairlift to Monte Solaro. Here you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. Continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. Here also visit a Limoncello producer where you will learn how they make Capri's favorite lemon 'digestivo'. In the afternoon, after lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, you will visit the marvelous Blue Grotto at the Faraglioni rocks and caves. You will find Capri to be a very exclusive travel destination. Late afternoon return to your Hotel in Sorrento.
Day 06: Amalfi Coast Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the lobby. Today enjoy the visit of one of the most intriguing coastline in the world, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello,... The small houses all huddling on top of each other, the breathtaking cliffs, the lemon and olive trees, the small beaches, the Saracen watch towers, the narrow roads make of this place a unique in the world, so precious to be listed in the Unesco World Heritage. In the morning you will visit Positano, an exclusive little village famous for its latest fashion trends. Continue on to Amalfi, once a powerful Maritime Republic and today a refined travel resort. Enjoy lunch in a characteristic Amalfi Coast fish restaurant. In the afternoon you will also visit Villa Rufolo in Ravello, with spectacular view over the entire Amalfi Coast. Late afternoon return to Sorrento for overnight.
Day 07: Sorrento Peninsula Villages Tour and Terranova Farm | Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend an amazing morning in a wonderful farmhouse. The Terranova Farm is a farmhouse holiday spot in Sorrento situated near the “Le Tore” nature reserve, in Santa Agata dei Due Golfi. The farm occupies six acres of land, distributed amongst a staircase of terraces which all descend harmoniously towards the sea. Facing you will be the enchanting Li Galli and Vetara Islands where legend has it that Ulysses met beautiful mermaid creatures. Surrounding you will also be the colors and scents of the Mediterranean. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the owner for refreshments before taking a stroll around the grounds to admire the fresh produce. Depending on the fruits and vegetables in season, you will be free to pick some provisions for lunch. You will then enjoy a hands-on cooking demonstration where you will be shown the skills of mozzarella making, as well as creating the perfect pizza (southern style!). Lunch will include fresh farm produce. In the afternoon continue your tour through the villages and towns of Sorrento Peninsula: Nerano Village and Marina del Cantone, Massa Lubrense coast line with its incredible view of Capri Island. The tour ends in Sorrento for Italy’s famous GELATO. Overnight in Sorrento.
