You will get a chance to explore the Motor Valley (la Terra dei Motori), one of the most spectacular region in Italy designed for the most sophisticated adrenaline seekers, sports cars and motorbikes.

Aside from the exclusive ride with a car of your taste, you will be able to see the sites where brands like Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini were born and the culture, fashion and shopping that Milan offers. You will also see the opera house in Milan, take a stroll through the most famous shopping district in the city of fashion and enjoy the fine culinary delights throughout the tour.

Detailed Itinerary

Day O1: Bologna Arrival Welcome to beautiful Italy! Once you arrive at your airport in Rome, you’ll need to go through Passport Control and collect any baggage from the customs area. After you’re cleared for adventure, you’ll meet up with your driver who will make sure you arrive safely at your hotel in central Bologna. Following check in, the rest of the day will be at your leisure to relax, unwind or sightsee. Overnight in Bologna.

Day 02: Bologna’s Culinary Delights Luxury tours that include stops in Bologna are simply not complete without a chance to experience the rich culinary creations this city is famed for. On day two, you’ll start off with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a guided tour that focuses on Bologna’s rich culinary traditions. Tours on this day include stops at historic food shops with the opportunity to sample local fare and chat up shopkeepers, who quite frequently have wonderful legends and stories to share.  No tours into Bologna are complete without an opportunity to walk around the medieval market and taste such mouthwatering creations as ciccioli, mortadella, salsiccia passata and chocolate. The samples are so delightful, they’ll serve in place of lunch. Once appetites are appeased, our attentions will turn to a demonstration from a traditional pasta maker, the “sfogline” of Bologna. With meticulous attention to detail, these ladies teach visitors the secrets of making and rolling pasta. Under their skillful instruction, you’ll learn how lasagna, tortellini and tagliatelle gets made. The ancient taverns of Bologna will be the next stop, providing an opportunity to stroll through the city’s historic center. You’ll marvel at the 14th Century pubs that remain crowded to this day. The afternoon and evening will cap off with strolls through the city and tastings at different locations. Overnight in Bologna.

Day 03: Hit the Road for a Lamborghini Factory and Museum Tour Breakfast at the hotel before meeting up with your driver to head off to the Lamborghini factory where you’ll enjoy a private tour. These tours will take guests to the very birthplace of one of the world’s most beloved and prestigious sports cars. Private tours enable guests to watch the assembly line responsible for the creation of the Gallardo LP 560-4 and other sport models in Lamborghini’s storied line. You’ll get to see the creation of these vehicles in step-by-step fashion and even watch as a powerful V10 engine is installed. Depending on the production schedule, you may also get to witness the birth of an Aventador LP 700-4 and watch as its V12 engine is put into place. You’ll fuel up with lunch at a charming local restaurant before returning for a visit to the Lamborghini museum. This landmark was created in 2001 by Automobili Lamborghini to celebrate the new millennium. The museum houses a collection that includes the 1963 GT 350 series, the 1973 Countach, the 1990 Diablo and others in this notable line. You’ll return to Bologna in the late afternoon and overnight before taking off on the next grand adventure.

Day 04: Maserati Museum, X-Bod Drive, Modena Recharge your batteries with breakfast at the hotel before enjoying a private transfer to the Maserati museum. This unique museum was created in 1965 on the grounds of the farm that produces the original Parmigiano Reggiano. Within the museum itself, guests will find 19 different Maserati models that range in age from 1934 to 2002. The collection includes one of the most famous sport racing cars of all times: the Maserati 250F. After the visit to the museum, you’ll enjoy a tour of the fully operational farm and a chance to sample Parmigiano Reggino for yourself. Tours don’t end here though. Once you’ve learned for yourself why Parmigiano Reggiano is one of the most famous Italian cheeses, you’ll embark on a private transfer to the Modena circuit. Here’ll you’ll get to test drive on X-Bow, which are extreme roadsters noted for incredible performance. Enjoy a light lunch or relax with a cocktail in the circuit paddock before taking a private transfer to Modena city. Dubbed the “Capital of Engines” due to its connection with Italy’s most famed automobile manufacturers, this city has many attractions to explore. You’ll meet up with a private guide who will help you explore this enchanting city and its sights, including the stunning Pizza Grande, which is home a stunning cathedral whose Romanesque style of architecture is so grand, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site. After the tour, you’ll return to Bologna to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Bologna – Driving a Ferrari – Vignola – Bologna Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting up with your private guide to pay a visit to an ancient oratory. This stunning example of Baroque style is a favorite on tours here because of its beautiful paintings and frescoes that completely cover the walls and vaults. After that, you’ll head off to see the Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande, which was constructed by a noble family back in the 17th century and still stands as a marvel today. Lunch in a delightful local restaurant before taking off for an adventure. This afternoon you’ll embark on a driving tour in a Ferrari. You’ll find yourself traversing the region’s famed winding roads while taking in charming, historic villages along the way. Driving tours end at Vignola, where you’ll take in the sites of this fortified down that graces the River Panaro’s valley. Famed for its production of cherries, this valley is simply breathtaking as is the towering fortress of Vignola, which has fortifications and frescoes that date from the 15th century. Later in the afternoon, you’ll return to Bologna where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure before overnighting in your hotel.

Day 06: Bologna, Pagani Zonda, Ducati, Milan Tours this day will entail nonstop adventure as your attention leaves Bologna for the cosmopolitan decadence of Milan. Be sure to fuel up on breakfast at the hotel before transferring to your hotel in Central Milan. Once you’re all settled in in Milan, you’ll meet up with your private transfer to tour the Pagni factory, see its showroom and production area. You’ll get to marvel at the factory that gave birth to the legendary Pagani Zonda before enjoying a private transfer to Castelvetro. This stunning town is famed for its towers, steeples and chessboard-shaped square. You’ll enjoy lunch at a charming eatery in Castelvetro before taking a private transfer to the world-famous Ducati motorcycle factory. This tour includes the production line and the company’s brand museum, which is located around an illuminated racetrack. More than 40 examples of the legendary motorcycles can be seen and there’s even a special spectator area that is built to resemble a massive red helmet. After the museum, you’ll transfer back to your hotel in Milan to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 07: Milan Arts & Fashions Tours of Milan simply are not complete without a chance to see inside this city’s famed arts and fashion world. Breakfast at your hotel before meeting up with your very own personal shopping assistant to spend the day exploring the boutiques along Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga e Corso Vittorio Emanuele and others. The afternoon will take you to a quaint Milanese restaurant where you’ll enjoy lunch before going on a private guided tour of the city. Stops will include such landmarks as Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the La Scala opera house, The Last Supper and Sforzesco Castle. You’ll enjoy dinner in Milan at the eatery of your choice before tucking in for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Departure Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel in Milan before setting off on a private transfer to Milan Malpesa or Linate Airport to say goodbye to Italy.

Both hotels were excellent and the rooms were fine. All the drivers were on time and got us to our destinations promptly. We were especially glad to have someone meet us at the train station with the tickets in hand and directions to our car in Milan. The best part of the trip was the all day private boat trip in Bellagio with the great restaurant on the private island. So thanks for your help and hopefully we can do it again.
