Sorrento, Amalfi & Cilento Coast

Day 01: Naples Arrival and Private Transfer to Sorrento | Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Naples airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will welcome you to Naples. He or she will escort out of the Terminal: your private driver will transfer you to your hotel in Sorrento. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 02: Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Your driver and guide will meet you at the hotel ready to take you through the most significant archaeological sites of Naples Bay, Pompeii, and Herculaneum. Pompeii was buried under lava and ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. After the visit, you will have a classical Italian lunch accompanied by two different red wines. After lunch, continue the Ancient Herculaneum. Herculaneum was covered by a torrent of mud, which protected the ruins from atmospheric agents and illegal excavators. Late afternoon you will return to your Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 03: Capri Private Guided Tour | This morning you will be privately transferred to Sorrento Marina Piccola to meet your guide and to board a fast ferry to Capri. First, you visit Marina Grande with his classy restaurants and sidewalk cafés. You will then visit Anacapri, 1,800 feet above sea level, where you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. After lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. Capri is a very exclusive travel destination, it is here to spot the occasional unassuming celebrity. Late afternoon you will re-board the fast ferry to Sorrento Port to be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 04: Sorrento to Amalfi via Positano Private Transfer | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver in the lobby and transfer to your hotel in Amalfi. En route stop in Positano for lunch a few hours at leisure. Positano is the coast’s most picturesque and photogenic town; with steeply-stacked houses tumbling down to the sea in a cascade of sun-bleached peach, pink and terracotta colors. No less colorful are its steep streets and steps lined with wisteria-draped hotels, smart restaurants, and fashionable boutiques. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 05: Amalfi and Ravello Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will visit the beautiful town of Amalfi. Historically the most important town of the area, Amalfi is a town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. After Lunch in a Characteristic Local Restaurant, continue to the top of the mountains to Ravello, situated at 1100 feet above the sea level, the views of the coast below are for sure the most breath-taking scenery. The town of Ravello is for sure the best place where to leave the crowds and where to enjoy the quiet of a village. Here you will visit Villa Rufolo. The villa was built in the 13th century for the wealthy Rufolo dynasty. Late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 06: Day at Leisure | Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 07: Positano – Paestum – Cilento Coast | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver in the lobby and transfer to your Hotel on The Cilento Coast. Today leave the Amalfi Coast passing through Vietri Sul Mare, Salerno, and few other villages, to reach Paestum Archeological Park. Here you will be joined by your Private Guide. The Greek temples of Paestum are some of the most stunning ancient monuments in Italy. Still standing after 2500 years, they embody the Greek ideals of beauty, rationality, and the sacred. Lunch in a characteristic local restaurant before continuing to your Hotel. Overnight on the Cilento Coast.

Day 08: Cilento Coast – Padula Monastery & Pertosa Caves | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the lobby and transfer to Padula for a guided tour of the Monastery of San Lorenzo. This Monastery represents the biggest architectonical complex of South of Italy and, through a wise mixing of styles that ranges from Romanesque to Gothic, to Renaissance, to Baroque, to Rococo, gives an inimitable example of magnificence and beauty. Lunch in a characteristic local restaurant before continuing to Pertosa for a Private Guided Tour of the Angels’ Grottoes. They are very famous and characteristic for the beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites conformations, for its caves impressiveness, and because of their uniqueness in all Italy; to visit them it is necessary crossing a little lake, originated by an underground river, by a boat skillfully steered. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Overnight on the Cilento Coast.

Day 09: Cilento – Naples | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the lobby and transfer to Naples. Overnight in Naples.

Day 10: Naples Departure | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning at the appropriate time, enjoy a Private Transfer to Naples Airport. Arrivederci! Ciao! Buon Viaggio!
