Italy Classic Private Tour | 13 Nights/14 Days

Day 01: Rome Arrival |Welcome to Italy!  On your arrival at Rome Airport, after you clear Immigration, you will pick up your luggage from the appropriate carousel and then proceed to Customs. Just outside the Exit of the protected area meet your English-Speaking Assistant. Porterage arrangements have been made for 2 pieces of luggage per passenger. You will be transferred to your hotel in Rome. Rest of the day at leisure. For international arrivals, we suggest an early dinner and a good night sleep. Overnight in Rome.

Day 02: Ancient Rome + Fountains & Squares Private Guided Tour |Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the Hotel Lobby. This morning you will enjoy a Private Guided Tour of the Wonders of the Ancient Romans. You will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the Roman Legions as you visit, together with your private local guide. This tour begins with a visit to the most famous monument of Ancient Rome, the Colosseum, and its Underground. From here, your guide will take you through the Roman Forum, which was the center of politics as well as public life in Ancient Rome. Lunch included in a characteristic local restaurant. Your Rome afternoon private tour starts with a visit to the Spanish Steps, the illustrious sight has a monumental staircase leading to Trinita dei Monti. From here the tour continues towards the famous Trevi Fountain. The water is supplied by the Roman aqueduct of the Acqua Vergine. You will then continue to Piazza Navona. The history of this baroque square dates to ancient Roman times, built by Emperor Domitian in 85 A.D. to hold athletic games. Late afternoon, return to your Hotel. Overnight in Rome.

Day 03: Vatican Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby. Private transfer to the Vatican to meet your Private Guide for a 4 Hours VIP Private Guided Tour. You will tour the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum viewing and discussing one of the most famous works of art in the world. You will also have time to visit the Belvedere courtyard, the impressive Pio Clementino museum with its beautiful Greek and Roman statues. Our guides will also show you the stunning candelabra gallery and the tapestries gallery as well as the astonishing Raphael Rooms, the Borgia’s apartment and examples of Bernini and Bramante’s work. The final part of the tour will focus on Saint Peter’s square; here you will admire Michaelangelo’s Dome and Bernini’s colonnades. Lunch at leisure and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 04: Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will be privately transferred to your Hotel in Sorrento. On route stop first at Cantine del Vesuvio, for a fantastic Eno-Gastronomic experience. The Estate is the most important winemaker of Lachrima Christi, located just a few hundred meters below the peak of the Volcano Vesuvius. Here you will have a classical Italian lunch that includes bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and olive oil served with salami and cheeses. accompanied by two different red wines. After lunch, continue to Pompeii, meet your Private Guide and enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Pompeii Archeological Ruins. Pompeii was buried under lava and ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. After the Tour, continue to your Hotel in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 05: Capri Private Guided Tour with Limoncello Tour | This morning you will be privately transferred to Sorrento Marina Piccola to meet your guide and to board a fast ferry to Capri. First, you visit Marina Grande with his classy restaurants and sidewalk cafés. You will then visit Anacapri, 1,800 feet above sea level, where you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. After lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. Capri is a very exclusive travel destination, it is here to spot the occasional unassuming celebrity (Paparazzi as well, unfortunately). Late afternoon you will re-board the fast ferry to Sorrento Port to be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 06: Amalfi Coast Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the Hotel lobby. This morning you will first visit the beautiful town of Amalfi. Historically the most important town of the area, Amalfi is a town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. The Arab-Norman Sant'Andrea cathedral at the heart of town, with its striped Byzantine facade, survives from this era. The Museo Arsenale Amalfi is a medieval shipyard-turned-exhibition space. The town gives its name to the whole coast as well as one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world for its history, monuments and natural setting that allowed to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After some time at leisure, continue to the top of the mountains to Ravello, situated at 1100 feet above the sea level, the views of the coast below are for sure the most breath-taking scenery. Lunch in a Characteristic Local Restaurant, The town of Ravello is for sure the best place where to leave the crowds and where to enjoy the quiet of a village, where most of the historical centre is still untamed, and still recalling the magnificence of the grand private residences. Here you will visit Villa Rufolo. The villa was built in the 13th century for the wealthy Rufolo dynasty and was home to several Popes as well as King Robert of Anjou.Wagner. Late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 07: Sorrento at Leisure. For 2000 years visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets, fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 08: Sorrento → Florence | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will meet your driver at the hotel lobby. Enjoy a Private transfer to Naples Train Station. Here you will meet your Assistant who will facilitate your boarding a Fast Train in Business Class to Florence. Upon your arrival at Florence Train Station, you will be met by your Assistant who will facilitate your Private Transfer to your Florence Hotel. Porterage arrangements have been made for 2 pieces of luggage per passenger. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Florence.

Day 09: Florence and Pisa Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will enjoy a 3 Hours Florence Private Walking Guided Tour. As you walk through the streets and piazzas of Florence, you'll discuss the ideas of the Renaissance, and the lives of many famous artists In between the famous landmarks, you'll take enchanting backstreets and alleys.  After enjoying a walk through the historical center follow your guide along the windy pathways to a stop in Piazza del Duomo. Then continue to the Accademia Gallery, home to Florence's most treasured work of art - "Michelangelo's David". In-between the famous landmarks, we'll take enchanting backstreets and alleys paved with the original stones from ancient times. You will visit Piazza della Signoria and the famous Ponte Vecchio. After lunch in a characteristic local restaurant, travel to Pisa. Visit the extraordinary Piazza Dei Miracoli, dominated by the world-famous Leaning Bell Tower. Partly paved and partly grassed, it's dominated by four great edifices: the Duomo (Cathedral), the famous leaning tower, the Baptistry, and the monumental Cemetery. In the late afternoon return to your hotel in Florence. Overnight in Florence.

Day 10: San Gimignano and Siena Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide in the lobby. San Gimignano, a fantastic example of medieval architecture declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, famous for its medieval skyscrapers. As you stroll around this compact hill town, your Private Guide will introduce you to the life & times of Medieval San Gimignano. During your walk, you will stop at Torre Cugnanesi and then continue to the two main squares: the first one named after the cistern located at its center, the second where political and religious institutions are located and the little market square: Spend some time here at leisure before meeting with your driver and heading to the Chianti Hills to enjoy a Food a Wine Tasting Tour at a family-run Winery. In the afternoon, together with your Guide visit Siena. Walking along the narrow medieval streets, you will admire the splendid Cathedral where you can visit the marvelous interior including the Libreria Piccolomini. You will continue to Piazza del Campo, overlooked by imposing Palazzo del Comune. After your tour, you will return to your Hotel. Overnight in Florence.

Day 11: Florence → Venice | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Driver at the Hotel lobby. Enjoy a Private transfer to Venice Piazzale Roma to meet your Assistant who will facilitate your Private Boat Transfer to your Hotel in Venice. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 12: Private Venice Walking Guided Tour with Gondola Ride | This morning after breakfast meet in your Personal Guide at the Hotel lobby for a 4-hour enchanting Venice Walking Guided Tour. You will first admire all the landmarks of the famous Piazza San Marco, St. Mark’s Square, the former political center of the Venetian Republic. You will enter St. Mark’s Church with its breathtaking glittering mosaics. Then you enter the Gothic Doge’s Palace, once the seat of the government. You will cross the well-known Bridge of Sighs to walk through the empty cells of the former prison building. Leaving the crowd behind, strolling about the narrow alleys, you will see the non-touristy areas of the city. Return to San Marco through the mercerie, vital connection between Rialto and San Marco and the main street for the city shopping. At the end of the tour embark on a quintessential Venetian experience with a private gondola ride through the famed canals of Venice. Glide past ancient palazzos and magnificent cathedrals on a traditionally handcrafted gondola. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 13: Murano and Burano Islands Private Boat Tour | Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide at the hotel lobby. This morning, enjoy an excursion into the Venetian lagoon to escape the crowds of Venice to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Venetian lagoon. You will start your Private Murano & Burano Boat Tour itinerary visiting the island of Burano, one of the most picturesque of the Venetian lagoon. Burano's brightly colored houses line its boat-filled canals. After a pleasant stroll around the Island of Burano, you will make your way to Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, thanks to the world-known "Murano Glass". You'll visit a selected glass-factory. You'll see a demonstration of glassblowing as well as visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware. Return to Venice for lunch and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 14: Venice Departure | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning meet your Assistant at the Hotel lobby. Your Assistant will facilitate your Private Boat Tour to Venice Airport and your Check-in procedure. Arrivederci! Ciao! Buon Viaggio!

  • We have just returned from our trip to Italy since we took a cruise after the program you and I put together. I just wanted to let you know that everything you planned worked out perfectly. Both hotels were excellent and the rooms were fine. All the drivers were on time and got us to our destinations promptly. We were especially glad to have someone meet us at the train station with the tickets in hand and directions to our car in Milan. The best part of the trip was the all day private boat trip in Bellagio with the great restaurant on the private island. So thanks for your help and hopefully we can do it again.
