Tuscany Classic Tour
This 9 Nights/10 Days Tour lets you explore Tuscany and see all the wonders it has to offer. Tuscany is a vibrant region of Italy that is best regarded as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and the Renaissance in general. Many of the most famous artists and musicians from the Renaissance era lived in Tuscany at least for a time. Due to this illustrious history with art and music, the region still has very famous museums, including the Accademia.
During the era of the Renaissance, Tuscany was more of a cultural and linguistic concept rather than an actual geographic and political division. All of Italy was very fractured at this time. In the fifteenth century, the Medici family took over most of Italy and ruled over the country during the burgeoning Renaissance.

However, the history of Tuscany begins much earlier than that. Travel through the natural and manmade history that traces back to the second millennium BC. In the Iron Age, the area was inhabited by a pre-Etruscan civilization known as the Apennines. After this, other cultures began to move into Tuscany and surrounding areas. Among these cultures was the Etruscans.
With the Etruscans came the first and most organized settlement of Tuscany. They thrived for a very long time in central Italy until the Roman Patricians adopted the upper-class Etruscans into their civilization. Under Roman occupation, the city of Florence was established. Romans also brought new technology and innovation such as sewers, aqueducts, roads, and new building construction techniques. Some of these structures are still standing.
It all begins in Florence as the focal point and the place where that offers most of the museums, churches, and art places, continuing to Pisa and Lucca where you will visit the famous Leaning Tower, the amazing San Martino Cathedral and a lot of other places.
San Gimignano, Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, and Pienza are the next stops on this tour. These charming cities will help you live and breathe through the medieval culture and lots of tradition, enjoying private tours in some of the loveliest squares in Italy. The fine dining on the best panorama sites is also a part of the experience, along with the Food and Wine Tastings in Montalcino and Montepulciano.
