Gulf of Naples and The Amalfi Coast Tour | 9 Nights/10 Days
Day 01: Arrive in Naples | Welcome to Italy! On your arrival at Naples Airport, after you clear Immigration, you will pick up your luggage from the appropriate carousel and then proceed to Customs. Just outside the Exit of the protected area meet your English-Speaking Assistant. Porterage arrangements have been made for 2 pieces of luggage per passenger. You will be transferred to your hotel in Naples. The balance of this first day is at leisure. For international arrivals, we suggest an early dinner and a good night sleep. Overnight in Naples.
Day 02: Naples Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby. Today enjoy a full day Private Guided Tour of Naples. Your city tour begins with Castel Nuovo, the political center of the city during the Antiquity period, through to the high medieval period (when Petrarch and Boccaccio were guests). You will then continue to the Castle dell’Ovo (The Egg Castle), which has a history dating back to the Roman times and was even a prison under the Normans. With a view of the bay of Naples as a backdrop, your tour continues to Piazza Plebiscito; the most monumental and harmonious square in the city, to view the vast 17th-century Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera House and the Church of St. Francis. You will then continue through Piazza della Borsa to Corso Umberto and the Galleria Umberto I, lined with beautiful lamps and 19th-century buildings containing some of the most elegant shops and cafes in Naples. After lunch in an authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria together with your Private Guide you will visit the Naples National Archaeological Museum, one of Naples’ treasure troves. The museum contains a large collection of Roman artifacts from Pompeii, Stabiae and Herculaneum. The collection includes works of the highest quality produced in Greek, Roman and Renaissance times. It is considered one of the most important Archaeological Museum in the world. After your Museum tour you will ride up to Posillipo Hill where you’ll have time for photographs and an excellent panoramic view of the city. Coming down from Posillipo, with the beautiful Bay of Naples on to your right side, you will pass first by Mergellina and then by the famous Santa Lucia district. Willing, you will have time to stop for an authentic Espresso and Sfogliatella Pastry before returning to your Hotel. Overnight in Naples.
Day 03: Naples → Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius Private Guided Tour → Sorrento |Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will be privately transferred to your Hotel in Sorrento. On route stop first at Cantine del Vesuvio, for a fantastic Eno-Gastronomic experience. The Estate is the most important winemaker of Lachrima Christi, located just a few hundred meters below the peak of the Volcano Vesuvius. Here you will have a classical Italian lunch that includes bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and olive oil served with salami and cheeses. accompanied by two different red wines. After lunch, continue to Pompeii, meet your Private Guide and enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Pompeii Archeological Ruins. Pompeii was buried under lava and ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. After the Tour, continue to your Hotel in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 04: Sorrento Villages Tour and Terranova Farm Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Driver and Guide at the Hotel Lobby. Your private tour today will start with a visit to an extra virgin olive oil farm. Enjoy a demonstration on the production of Olive Oil from the olive on the tree to the bottle. Followed by a delicious tasting of this fine Extra Virgin Olive Oil on freshly baked bread. On your way to the next stop, the mozzarella and cheesemakers, we stop for a fantastic photo opportunity over the two bays’, the bay of Salerno and the bay of Naples, for a bird’s eye view of the famous Amalfi Drive. You will be welcomed with open arms by the family at the cheese farm, who have over 50 years of experience. After touring the farm, watch the making of mozzarella (a cheese that originated from the Naples area), participate in a wonderful explanation of the entire process up to the final product, which you will taste with lunch. Sit back and relax with antipasto of local ‘in season’ vegetables, salami then followed by freshly made pasta. Tasting the fresh mozzarella you have just witnessed being made. Lunch is served with local wine and soft drinks, followed by Limoncello. Then continue to Sorrento to meet your Private Guide. Visit Sorrento Historic Centre where you will have a Wine tasting at a local Enoteca, with full demonstration, visit to the cellar and wine tasting. The tour ends in the heart of Sorrento for Italy’s famous GELATO. Return to the Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 05: Capri Private Guided Tour with Limoncello & Blue Grotto Tour | This morning you will be privately transferred to Sorrento Marina Piccola to meet your guide and to board a fast ferry to Capri. First visit Marina Grande with his classy restaurants and sidewalk cafés. Then to Anacapri, 1,800 feet above sea level, where you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. Continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. After lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, you will visit, weather permitting, the incredible Blue Grotto. Capri is a very exclusive travel destination, it is here to spot the occasional unassuming celebrity (Paparazzi as well, unfortunately). Late afternoon you will re-board the fast ferry to Sorrento. Have a lovely evening and night in Sorrento.

Day 07: Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Private Boat Guided Tour: Dropoff Amalfi Hotel | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby and transfer to Sorrento pier where you will meet your English-Speaking Captain. Embark on a Private Boat Tour. On route to your Hotel in Amalfi cruise the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. This morning you will appreciate the pleasure of cruising along the Sorrento Coast. If the town by the land is amazing, if you see the coastline by the sea is by far more than incredible: great walls of Tufa Rock with huge creeks will leave you simply speechless. As you depart from Sorrento Pier and pass through Marina Grande fishing village, you will discover the hidden treasure of: Regina Giovanna Bath, once a Roman Villa; a cleft in the rocks allows the sea to channel through an archway into a clear, natural pool, with the water turning iridescent blue, green, and violet as the sunlight changes angles. Continue to the beach of Cala di Puolo, a small fishing village; Massa Lubrense and Marina dell Lobra; Marciano; Mitigliano Bay, accessible only by sea; the Bay of Ieranto with the protected Marine Park. You will pass by the legendary Li Galli Islands, a small island archipelago is also known as the Sirenusas, the Gallos or “the Cocks”. The name Sirenusas is because in the Greek mythology the Sirens symbolized the dangers that awaited the seafarers. Stop for lunch in Positano in a characteristic local restaurant and then enjoy some time at leisure walking to the lower part of the town. A pearl of the Amalfi Coast, Positano is a maze of alleys and steps with small shops displaying the typical products of local crafts, which, together with the undisputed beauty of the landscape, have contributed to making Positano famous world-wide. We refer to the fresh linen dresses in style “Positano fashion”, the leather sandals and, the colorful ceramics. Reembark your Private Boat and continue your Cruise by passing through Praiano and Conca dei Marini, a village that has impeccably preserved the old charm of a fishing village, with white houses tucked into the rock, like precious stones in a sculpted setting. Day 08: Amalfi Coast Private Guided Tour |Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will first visit the beautiful town of Amalfi. Historically the most important town of the area, Amalfi is a town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. The Arab-Norman Sant’Andrea cathedral at the heart of town, with its striped Byzantine facade, survives from this era. The Museo Arsenale Amalfi is a medieval shipyard-turned-exhibition space. The town gives its name to the whole coast as well as one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world for its history, monuments and natural setting that allowed to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After some time at leisure, continue to the top of the mountains to Ravello, situated at 1100 feet above the sea level, the views of the coast below are for sure the most breath-taking scenery. Lunch in a Characteristic Local Restaurant, The town of Ravello is for sure the best place where to leave the crowds and where to enjoy the quiet of a village, where most of the historical centre is still untamed, and still recalling the magnificence of the grand private residences. Here you will visit Villa Rufolo. The villa was built in the 13th century for the wealthy Rufolo dynasty and was home to several Popes as well as King Robert of Anjou. Late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in Amalfi.
