Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Verona Arrival | Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Verona airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Just outside this area meet your driver who will transfer you to your Hotel in central Verona. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Verona.

Day 02: Verona Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Guide in the Hotel lobby for a Private Guided Walking Tour of Verona Historic Centre. Verona is a splendid, ancient corner of the Veneto region, along the river Adige intimately linked to its waters. The Adige today flows between strong embankments, built after the 1882 flood to contain the devastating river water. Already in ancient times Verona was linked to the river as an essential route for traffic and commerce and it was not by chance that the Romans, who well understood where best to found their cities, established themselves there. Precisely because it was navigable as far as Trento, the Adige was a fundamental communication route and the economy of Verona, like those of the villages along the river, was closely linked to water. This is testified to by the numerous mills, the images of the characteristic washerwomen and the monasteries, which had the right to exploit the waters of the river. You will visit the major highlights of this historic city, a favorite of Roman Emperors and later ruled by the powerful Della Scala family. It was also the setting for Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. See the great Roman Arena, wander in the attractive pink marble, Piazza delle Erbe market place, known as Verona's Forum during the Roman period and where now it is still possible to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, and visit some of the smart shops in the Via Mazzini. You will also visit other important squares such as the Piazza dei Signori and Piazza Brà. Then naturally, one cannot leave Verona without visiting the Courtyard of the Capulet family, home with the world-famous balcony of Juliet. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Verona.

Day 03: Verona at Leisure | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today enjoy a day at leisure in Verona. The Verona area boasts numerous buildings of artistic and historic value: castles, towers, hermitages, monasteries, sanctuaries, and old Romanesque parishes. In its northernmost parts is Lessinia, with its Regional Park and Monte Baldo to indicate the passage from the plains of the Po Valley to the Alpines: a charming scenery fit for hiking and excursions through the grasslands, olive groves, vineyards and orchards. It is the reason that Monte Baldo is also known as Hortus Europae, Garden of Italy and Europe. Overnight in Verona.

Day 04: Verona Lake Garda | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your private driver to be transferred to your Hotel on Lake Garda. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure

Day 05: Lake Garda Private Boat and Sirmione Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning with an English speaking Captain, enjoy a 4 Hours Private Boat of Lake Garda, one of the beautiful lakes in Northern Italy. Lake Garda has a wealth of beauty that reveals its best secrets to those who decide to explore it from a different perspective. During the Sirmione peninsula boat tour we will show you many places of interest and take you on a journey of discovery. A visit to the fairy-tale Isola del Garda (Garda Island) is one of our most popular boat trips: the Countess is often there to welcome visitors in person. Gardone, a pleasant and much appreciated lakeside resort, attracts eccentrics: here, during our boat tour, we will enjoy a short coffee break, while admiring the view. Finally, every week, a boat excursion takes a trip through the landscape of Punta San Vigilio and the Golfo di Garda. Lake Garda offers many opportunities to discover its natural and cultural heritage, which can be experienced with family or friends. All you have to do is be curious about one of the most beautiful countryside in Italy and we will do the rest! Lunch at leisure. This afternoon meet you Guide to visit the town of Sirmione, the Pearl of Lake Garda, "the gem of all the peninsulas".  The visit of the village commences with the suggestive Scala Castle of medieval times, built at the end of the 13th century by the Lords of Verona. It is the impressive gateway to the medieval town of Sirmione which one enters by passing a little stone bridge in order to go inside. Along narrow and close medieval streets one reaches the Parish Church of S. Maria which contains many images and paintings to be admired together with different altars and precious 18th century works of marble. Slightly uphill, one reaches the S. Salvatore Church, which dates to the 8th century. At last, after admiring the park of the prestigious and luxurious 5 star Hotel Villa Cortine and the nearby Villa of Maria Callas, the entrance to the Grotte di Catullo has been reached. It is the most important archeological area of the entire Lombardy region with imposing remains of what has once been a luxurious Roman Villa on Lake Garda.  Return to your hotel. Overnight on Lake Garda.

Day 06: Euganean Hills Wine Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your Driver in the Hotel lobby to travel through Padova province Euganean Hills. The day's excursion starts with a visit to a typical cantina in the Veneto region. Arrive in the medieval town of Arqua Petrarca where, weather permitting, you will tour the vineyards with the owners. Learn about the area's grape growing techniques from the vintners themselves and, after a short description of the winemaking process, enjoy a wine tasting in the wine bar in the center of Arqua Petrarca. Your wine tasting will be led by the vineyard owner along with your guide, who is a sommelier and cheese expert. Next, take a scenic drive to a local restaurant and enjoy a light lunch featuring traditional dishes and excellent wine. After lunch, visit another cantina with the owner, who will explain the local production technique before leading you through a second wine tasting with more of the famous regional varieties. Together with your guide, discuss the differences and similarities of the wines from these 2 respected local producers. Late afternoon Continue to your hotel. Overnight on Lake Garda.

  • Thank you for coordinating such a wonderful trip in Italy. Terence and I learned many things about Italy. The weather was great and we had so much fun. All hotels, staff and guides were superb! We especially appreciated our driver who served us from Venice through our time in Florence, I believe his name was Lorenzo. Again, thank “you” for doing such a great job in planning our vacation.

  • Hope, you are doing well. My wife and I had a great trip to Italy. The place, the people, and the food and wine were out of this world. Warm and kind people including hotel staff, tour guides and drivers went beyond their ways to help us and make this visit very special for us. It was very hard to leave Italy. You, your staff and company did an extraordinary job. You over delivered. Bravo!

  • We have just returned from our trip to Italy since we took a cruise after the program you and I put together. I just wanted to let you know that everything you planned worked out perfectly. Both hotels were excellent and the rooms were fine. All the drivers were on time and got us to our destinations promptly. We were especially glad to have someone meet us at the train station with the tickets in hand and directions to our car in Milan. The best part of the trip was the all day private boat trip in Bellagio with the great restaurant on the private island. So thanks for your help and hopefully we can do it again.
