Amalfi Coast and Apulia Dream Tour

Day 01: Arrive in Naples | Welcome to Italy! On your arrival at Naples Airport, meet your Driver just outside the Exit of the protected area. You will be transferred to your hotel in Sorento. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 02: Sorrento Private Guided Walking Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will enjoy a Private Guided Walking Tour of Sorrento. Facing the Bay of Naples and perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its marinas. From Piazza Tasso, you cross Via Della Pietà, you reach the ancient upper Decumanus, the principal street of Roman towns. Visit Corso Italia and the famous Villa Fiorentino. Another fascinating old area of Sorrento’s historical center is Via San Cesareo. Its commercial activity, the buildings, the voices, the sounds, and the colors revolve around the sixteenth century Sedile Dominova. The Tour continues to Villa Comunale and the Cloister of San Francesco. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 03: Capri Private Guided Tour | This morning you will be privately transferred to Sorrento Marina Piccola to meet your guide and to board a fast ferry to Capri. First, you visit Marina Grande with his classy restaurants and sidewalk cafés. You will then visit Anacapri, 1,800 feet above sea level, where you will visit Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. After lunch in a characteristic Caprese restaurant, continue to the main town of Capri, where you can visit La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus, Faraglioni, and the distinctive rocks. Capri is a very exclusive travel destination, it is here to spot the occasional unassuming celebrity. Late afternoon you will re-board the fast ferry to Sorrento Port to be transferred to your Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 04: Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Private Boat Tour: Dropoff Amalfi Hotel | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby and transfer to Sorrento pier where you will meet your English-Speaking Captain. Embark on a Private Boat Tour. On route to your Hotel in Amalfi cruise the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Passing through Marina Grande fishing village, you will discover the hidden treasure of Regina Giovanna Bath, once a Roman Villa. Continue to the beach of Cala di Puolo, a small fishing village; Marina dell Lobra; Marciano; Mitigliano Bay, accessible only by sea​. You will pass by the legendary Li Galli Islands, a small island archipelago. Stop for lunch in Positano in a characteristic local restaurant and then enjoy some time at leisure. Positano is a maze of alleys and steps with small shops and Boutiques displaying fresh linen dresses in style “Positano fashion”. Reembark and continue your Cruise by passing through Praiano and Conca Dei Marini. Late afternoon, reach Amalfi Pier where you will meet your driver. Private Transfer to your Hotel. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 05: Amalfi Coast Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will first visit the beautiful town of Amalfi. Historically the most important town of the area, Amalfi is a town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. After Lunch in a Characteristic Local Restaurant, continue to the top of the mountains to Ravello, situated at 1100 feet above the sea level, the views of the coast below are for sure the most breath-taking scenery. The town of Ravello is for sure the best place where to leave the crowds and where to enjoy the quiet of a village. Here you will visit Villa Rufolo. The villa was built in the 13th century for the wealthy Rufolo dynasty. Late afternoon return to your Hotel. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 06: Amalfi Coast at Leisure | Breakfast at the Hotel. Today is for you to spend at leisure on The Amalfi Coast. Overnight in Amalfi.

Day 07: Amalfi – Castel del Monte – Monopoli | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby. En route to your hotel in Monopoli experience a Half day tour of Castel del Monte with a private guide. Lunch in a Characteristic Local Restaurant. Castel del Monte is different from the other castles in Apulia. The Castle octagonal shape is a complex architectural design, with many symbolic aspects. Continue to Monopoli for overnight.

Day 08: Alberobello and Gioia Del Colle Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning meet your driver and guide at the lobby. In the morning visit Alberobello’s Trulli (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visit Aia Piccola, in the heart of the city of the Trulli traditional houses. See the ancient church of St. Anthony and the Sovereign Trullo. After lunch in a characteristic Apulia Masseria (Farm/Wine Estate), continue to Gioia Del Colle. The Historic Quarter is distinguished by a wealth of arches. Visit The town’s castle before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Monopoli.

Day 09: Matera and Altamura Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning meet your driver and guide at the lobby. Explore the historic town of Matera, The Sassi of Matera were dug into the soft tufo rock; Peek inside rock churches, and marvel at some of the most impressive of the cave houses to discover how they were furnished. Learn about the water collection system and cellars and gain a better understanding of a unique system of dwellings. After lunch in a characteristic Apulia Masseria (Farm/Wine Estate), continue to Altamura for an amazing walking tour. Visit the Cathedral, stroll around the heart of the city to discover hidden cloisters, Noble’s Palaces and Mansions. The tour will conclude with a tasting of famous local products and of course the worldwide know bread of Altamura! Late afternoon, return to your hotel. Overnight in Monopoli.

Day 10: Monopoli → Ostuni Private Guided Tour → Lecce | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the lobby. Today you will transfer to Lecce via Ostuni. Once in Ostuni, meet your private guide. The gleaming white city of Ostuni is located on the top of the last hill of the southern Murgia plateau. From the top of its white walls, you will see a vast plain full of ancient olive trees and the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. After lunch in a characteristic Apulia Masseria (Farm/Wine Estate), continue to the beautiful town of Lecce. Overnight in Lecce.

Day 11: Lecce Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the lobby. This morning you will enjoy a Private Guided Tour transfer of Lecce Historic Centre. Stroll the streets of Lecce and discover why the city is often called the “Florence of South Italy.” Admire monuments of dazzling marble and see traces of the city’s Roman past. Your guide will tell you city secrets and take you to hidden corners, as well as point out all the buildings cast in limestone marble. Discover Lecce’s Piazza Duomo, where you can visit the Cathedral. Continue to the Chiesa di S. Irene, and on to Piazza Sant’Oronzo. Discover the old Roman Amphitheatre and the Basilica di Santa Croce. After the tour, you will return to your Hotel. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Lecce.

Day 12: Gallipoli and Otranto Private Guided Tour | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver and Guide at the hotel lobby. This morning you will enjoy a Private Guided Tour of Gallipoli. The old town center sits on a tiny island connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge. It is almost completely, surrounded by defensive walls, built mainly in the 14th century. The east side is dominated by a robust fortress dating back to the 13th century but largely rebuilt in the 1500s.  The island heart of Gallipoli is home to numerous impressive Baroque churches and aristocratic palazzi.  After lunch in a characteristic Apulia Masseria (Farm/Wine Estate), continue to the beautiful town of Otranto. Discover the Norman cathedral, consecrated in 1088, and still the largest Romanesque building in Apulia. Continue to the Church of St. Peter and the Aragonese Castle. Late afternoon, return to your hotel in Lecce. Overnight in Lecce.

Day 13: Bari Departure | Breakfast at the Hotel. Meet your driver at the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, it is time to say Arrivederci. At your convenience, we will transfer you to Bari airport. Ciao!
